The Balloons

3 Air balloons- ORIGINAL ARTWORK Mixed Media, Hand Painted on 1920
Parisien Magazine 'La Petit Illustration' by Coco De Paris

How cute are these? I love them. Got them recently from Etsy for my son's room,  the blue and red goes really well with the general red and blue theme I've got going on in there. Hopefully they will last a bit longer in there being not too babyish... before he decides on his on themes.....

It's a Bird

It's the birds again! The latest addition to my made it shop, a set of gift tags or Christmas ornaments made from fabric. You could write on the back, which has a plain cotton/linen blend fabric, with a fabric marker or just use these to decorate a present or gift bag.

Trams and Bicycles

I been sewing cushions lately, a lot of them, some for my sister in law's new house and some for my made it shop, to be added soon! I have been motivated to get a few done for our place too. This fabric was from Ink and Spindle that I bought at a market last year, so it had been sitting around for quite a while! The trams and bicycles are so cute, perfect for a boy's room. So now its a lovely cushion for my youngest son's room.

Featured on Made it

Today I had a nice surprise, my yellow giraffe was featured on the made it site in one of the seller's picks where a seller from the site picks items they like to be featured. The artist/seller who picked mine was Kristen Kelland who has some very cute prints in her madeit shop. Thanks Kristen! A couple of her other picks are two of my favourite sellers on madeit!

Searching for Elephants

Today we went on a little journey in the city in search of Mali the Elephant. To celebrate 150 years of the Melbourne Zoo it has 50 Mali’s around the city that have been painted by various artists. The best thing about it was the Mali In the City app for iphones that guided you to the elephant statues then let you tick them off when you were close to them. It was such a great activity for walking around the city. It showed you how many you had ticked off the list. My 4 year old loved finding them and being the great iphone user he is, was very good at ticking them off. We ticked off 20 but did drive by a few and ticked them off the list on the way home!
